Keeping hydrated and combating headaches

I’ve seen a lot of people posting recently about headaches. In my opinion, a lot of them are due to dehydration. Some say they drink water all day, but that doesn’t always do the trick. Why, you ask? Electrolytes.

When I was pregnant with the Wondertwins, I drank water all the time. I got headaches almost daily. So, I consulted with my chiropractor. He said one option is to drink a bottle of gatorade. Personally, I don’t like all the additives in the drink. So, he gave me another option.

Drink a glass with 9/10ths water, 1/10th juice (I prefer cranberry or apple with no sugar added), and a sprinkle of salt.

I drink this throughout the summer and give it to my kids, especially when they aren’t feeling well. The natural sugars in the juice and the added salt help replenish the electrolytes.
