• Welcome!

Welcome to my blog about raising twins! I post about my daily life with my twins and often include tips and suggestions on natural child rearing. I am a former nanny, a third-grade teacher, and the oldest of five kids. I am currently a stay-at-home mom, and I watch another child during the week. Welcome to my world!

Ms. E had her twins!

By Admin On December 15, 2007 Under Uncategorized

A couple of months ago I spoke of Ms. E and her twins. Her sac had ruptured at 17 weeks and she was put on strict bed rest. On Thursday, at 32 weeks 2 days the babies arrived. Both are girls. Baby A was 3 lbs 3 oz. Baby B was 3 lbs 14 oz. They are beautiful!!!!!!

Baby B is right up their with the other 32 weekers. She is a little spitfire! She fought the breathing tube like a true warrior. Now she is happy to only have a regular nose piece.

Baby A is a fighter. She had originally was having some problems with her heart rate, lungs, blood pressure, etc. She had to have a tube placed in her lung because it popped. HOWEVER, she is hanging in there and is doing MUCH MUCH better! In fact, they are taking the tube out already! She is still in critical condition, but is improving daily!

Baby B will likely go home by the end of the year. Baby A may have to stay a little longer. So, keep the prayers coming.

These babies truly are a miracle. They have awesome parents that have been, and are doing such a wonderful job. I’m am proud to call them my friends!

Grow babies… and keep getting strong!

Congrats to them! They are lucky to have friends like you who are so experienced.

Re: finger painting. They definitely start at our daycare before 12 months. Kids do sometimes put hands to mouths, though. Sometimes with the littlest ones the caregivers sit behind them to hold their hands if they go toward their mouths. It is fun for them!

I’ve also read you can do it in a high chair with ketchup and mustard and not care if hands go to mouths, though it doesn’t seem like good training for what to do with real paint.
