The big C
ByI found out last night… my dad has cancer. My Daddy… one of my best friends… the person I have shared the most with… one of the people I am closest to… one of the most important persons in my life… has cancer. It is prostate cancer. I hear… if you are going to get cancer, that is the kind to have. It is one of the most easily treated. For that I am grateful.
He is my Daddy. I have looked up to him forever. It feels like a brick hit me. He is a fighter. He will be fine. I know he will. He is my Daddy… he has cancer… and he will be fine.

Courtney… I am so sorry to hear about your father. I will pray for a speedy recovery. Tom’s grandfather had it and he has been in remission for 7 years.

Yes - he will be fine. Actually, he will be more than fine - he will be great! Especially with all the love and support he will have from his friends and obviously wonderful family.

Courtney - our love, thoughts and prayers and with you and with your father. You have the right attitude but so know what you are mean when you say … it’s my Daddy… For some it’s the daddy some the mummy - but (if we are lucky) these are the indestructible pillars in our lives. Hang in there my friend. Keep us posted. And on a much brighter note - could those babies be any cuter. Enjoy them.
